DBT Skills-Focused Therapy
Looking for something more structured and skills-focused? I offer therapy specifically designed for clients who want to learn, practice, and apply DBT skills in their everyday lives.
Together, we’ll work through the four core areas of DBT: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Sessions are structured around building these skills and exploring how they apply to the challenges you’re currently experiencing.
I use The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Workbook as a guide throughout this work, giving us a practical framework to learn the skills together, practice them in session, and identify ways to use them outside of therapy.
This approach can be a great fit if you’re looking for more than just talking about what’s going on and want concrete tools you can take with you into your everyday life.
Move Your Body, Shift Your Mind
I believe there’s a powerful connection between our mental and physical well-being. For clients who are interested, movement can become part of the therapy experience.
Depending on what you need, a session might include gentle stretching, breathwork, mindfulness, yoga, or even a full private yoga practice. Sometimes getting out of our heads and into our bodies can help us slow down, regulate, process emotions, and reconnect with ourselves in a different way.
There’s no need to be flexible, experienced with yoga, or “good at fitness.” This isn’t about burning calories or getting a workout in—it’s about using movement as another tool to support your mental health.
Therapy for your mind. Movement for your body. Space to connect the two.
